Have you ever thought where your expensive and beautiful fur coats and other clothes come from? How are they produced? I was shocked when I watched a programe based on animal fur. They showed videos, from chinese fur "farms" and it was horrible!!!!
All the animals where in their own tiny cages. They were spinning around the cages and trying to dig their way out of them. When it was time to "kill" them they took a fox and stepped on the head but the fox didn`t die. Then the "farmers" took a knife and tore the fur off. The fox was still alive and tried to walk away with no fur and skin. You could only see the poor animals bare flesh. It was so awful!!! I hope this method isn`t popular in Finland.!
Also seal are killed a horrible way! The "hunters" take a big hatchet and start to hit the living seal. They also hit and kill little, cute baby seals:( When they have hit enough, they stop and start to hit another one. The seals don`t die immediately so they suffer for hours.......!!!!!!!......
I will never, ever buy or wear fur!! For one fur coat you have to kill 6-15 foxes or 20-50 minks!!!! For one coat!!!!!

I agree that the fur trade is an awful business on the whole. It's amazing they haven't banned it completely. Someone once said that the humanity of people could be measured by how we treat animals. By that standard some people stil need to come a long way. I mean, we don't really even need fur any longer and the fur business nowadays thrives on vanity. Awful.
